Welcome to my virtual home on the web and thanks for taking the time to visit. I am proud to represent the people of Georgia and particularly my constituents of the 37th district in the Georgia State Senate. For the 10 years of public service, I have focused on families and children. In the past, I have worked tirelessly to help ensure the health and safety of mothers and newborns by stopping drive-thru deliveries. As a Senator one of the first things that I authored and had put into law was the HERO scholarship program for our service men and women and their families.

In the coming cycle, my priority is to make our streets safer to drive, by enacting tougher laws on those who choose not to get a driver’s license. SB15 will toughen the penalties on those who chose to break the law by driving with out a license. I will also be working hard to try to control the growth of state government. The government should not take or grow anymore than necessary and to protect families from being over taxed I am working to pass "the taxpayer’s bill of rights" or TABOR.

As always, I am sure more issues and situations will appear and need to be dealt with but these are my focus for now. If you have any suggestions or thoughts please do not hesitate to contact me during session, the best way to reach me is by email to john@johnwiles.com or to call my capitol office 404.657.0406 you can also go to our new state suggestions site at www.georgiaspeaks.org if your comments are more general in nature.

Sincerely,

Senator John Wiles
